Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko who was a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports began as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded a second medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008, and a gold medal in 2011 and then was named as the IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in at the age of 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight 2012, the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas during the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO followed by 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko had a brief time off from MMA and concentrated on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa through a unanimous decision, and then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko battled Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina defeated Nievera by her striking skills that were superior at the end of the fight through knees to the body. Antonina took an UFC offer after her victory. Antonina made her UFC debut during the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win with a unanimous decision. She lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. The bout earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record over her next three bouts which included a win over Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO during UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
